Yeu Island, "Pearl of Atlantic", is located in the Bay of Biscay.
In altum lumen et perfugium, its motto, means "light and shelter in high seas".
Noirmoutier is a strange place because it is an island only at high tide!
Like Mont Saint Michel used to, a 4 km submersible road (Le Gois) links it to the continent (to be shown next time).
